Balady – Various Locations

SEARCHING FOR THE BEST FALAFEL IN LONDON: BALADY 🧆

I’ve seen this spot pop up on a few “best falafel in London” lists so I felt compelled to head down and try it for myself.

This is Balady in Camden (but they have a few branches).

I ordered:
🧆 Falafel wrap on freshly baked pita with lots of sauces, salads and also some cauliflower and aubergine
💰 £8.85 with extras or £6.85 on its own

🌱 Hummus with cauliflower (starter)
💰£5.50 with one pita

🍨 No vegan desserts

💭 The falafel was aromatic, crispy and fluffy – definitely hit the spot. The whole wrap had it all really. Such a nice mixture of ingredients which all complemented each other perfectly – zesty, spicy, creamy, tangy – amazing flavours but also the mouthfeel of all of those texture was dreamy. There are cheaper falafel wrap spots in London (even though this isn’t necessarily expensive) but the value is excellent here – huge portions and fantastic ingredient quality. The hummus was also silky smooth and super creamy. I loved the chunks of cauliflower in there too. In the hunt for the best falafel in London, @pockets_uk is still my fave but this was up there. Would love to hear your reccs in the comments 💭
