I ain’t ‘lion ‘ when I tell you that I’ve found my new favourite London restaurant 🦁 (Invite)
@lyan.cub has stolen my heart with its absolutely ‘roarsome’ passion for sustainability, knowledgeable, friendly staff, extremely talented chefs and the ‘mane’ attraction: The phenomenal tasting menu 😍♥️
This restaurant isn’t 100% vegan but most of it is and every dish can be made vegan very easily 🌱 For £67, you can tuck into a set menu which takes you on a journey of delicious food and drinks, all which compliment each other perfectly 👌🏼 .
When we visited, our menu was as follows:
🥂 @krugchampagne with jelly
🌱 Pumpkin & Girolle, Jerusalem artichoke & horseradish
🍸 Pandora cucumber @belvederevodka with pineapple weed
🍅 Brined tomato, muscats & fig leaves
🌱 Smoky kalibos cabbage broth which tasted like bonfire night 🤤🔥 .
🍸 Cul de bray trousseau
🌱 Confit leek with hazelnuts & lemon thyme and a creamy elderberry sauce
🍸 Ugly peaches cocktail with islay seaweed and @bruichladdich
🥦 Whole broccoli with cub dashi and roasted garlic .
🍸 Rare tea with wild rooibos and compressed peach 🍑.
🍨 Pumpkin seed ice cream with Douglas fir .
🍸 Creme de grasshopper with vegan land chocolate and English mint
The food here is exquisite. The confit leek is, hands down, one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten! 🙌🏼 I’ve also never been to a restaurant which is so environmentally conscious, knowledgeable and passionate about their food 🌱 The ingredients are locally sourced, sustainable and traceable, which is why the menu changes weekly. The leather is fake, the lampshades are made from recycled yoghurt pots and the flowers are trimmings from local flower shops 💐 and it’s still one of the classiest, trendiest places I’ve ever dined! Absolutely recommend this venue to anyone. .
The lovely team were kind enough to invite me and gave me this food on a complimentary basis. No payment was received and all opinions, as always, are honest and my own.
