Vegan yorkies? Yorkidding? 😱 {ad – press sample}
Legendary vegan crew @thegnarbecuehave found a home at
@theamershamarmsofficial and I went down to check out their roasts 😍
Here’s what we ate:
🌱 “Beef” & mushroom wellington w/ roasties, garlic kale, glazed chantenay carrots, stuffing balls, gravy & a yorkie
💰£12
💭Roasties were great! Crispy outside but soft in the middle. The wellington had lots of flavour and was flaky but with nice moist layers inside. Gravy was thick & tasty and the stuffing ball was crispy & crunchy. The kale and carrots were the standouts for me – beautiful. Yorkie were, as vegan yorkshires often are, quite dense & cakey. They’re tough to crack!
🤷🏼♀️Order again? Yes
🏆 Fave dish
🌱BBQ seitan ribs w/ roasties, garlic kale, glazed chantenay carrots, stuffing balls, gravy & a yorkie
💰£12
💭I wanted to try these even though I’m not the biggest seitan lover. They were a little tough on the outside (probs also due to the temperature outside) but soft once you got to the middle. It was similar to having sweet, sticky bbq pork ribs, I’m just not sure the flavour worked in a roast for me but they were pretty good – some of the better seitan I’ve had!
🤷🏼♀️ Order again? No (I’d choose the wellington)
🌱Roast burger w/ a grilled patty, stuffing, crackling, gravy, garlic mayo & kale with a side of roasties
💰£12
💭I only had a bit (it was my friend’s) but I loved the flavours – the sweet mayo & crackling were fab!
🤷🏼♀️ Order again? Yes
