It’s Sunday.
You’ve got three options:
1) Be smug about your lack of hangover and do something productive 💁🏼♀️
2) Snuggle up in bed and wonder why you thought it was a good idea to order those shots 🤦🏼♀️ Or, my personal favourite;
3) Get yourself to a pub and get a vegan roast down ya! 🙋🏼♀️ (Invite)
I was invited down to @goneburger_ukas they’ve just started serving up vegan nut roasts in their Brixton and Angel branches 🙌🏼 The roast comes with the nut roast (obvs) roasties, broccoli, carrots, red cabbage, chunky gravy & Yorkies 😋 Swipe across to see the whole spread!
The nut roast itself was really tasty. It was moist (eugh, sorry. Less creepy synonyms welcome), full of flavour and came as a very generous portion. Big fan of the addition of pumpkin seeds! The yorkie was also delicious, and whilst it may look a bit flat (It’s bloomin’ hard to get vegan yorkies to rise), it tasted brill. I don’t know about you guys but yorkies were one of my weaknesses before I went vegan, so this was a great addition 😍
The potatoes were tasty but, based purely on personal preference, I would’ve loved them to be a bit fluffier on the inside 🥔 The veg was fresh but slightly undercooked and perhaps needed a little more flavour. The gravy was chunky and delightful 🤤 .
All in all, not a bad roast! £15 isn’t super cheap but these are also seriously large portions and @brixtonfoodfiend and I struggled to finish the whole thing, so good value I think 👏🏼 Thank you, Gone Burger, for letting us take part in the traditional British Sunday hangover celebrations 😍♥️
The lovely team were kind enough to invite me and gave me this food on a complimentary basis. No payment was received and all opinions, as always, are honest and my own.
