Halo Burger – Brixton

When you wonder why they’re called @haloburgeruk then realise it’s because the burgs have been SENT FROM HEAVEN 👼🏼 (Complimentary)

Guys, it’s happened. London has got its first vegan meat-style burger diner. This, to me, is the vegan love child of @fiveguysuk and @mcdonaldsuk. I used to be a big fan of Five Guys so this is an absolute God send 🙏🏻

Based in @popbrixton, this little joint plays old school tunes in a traditional diner setting and uses the @beyondmeat patty in every item. You can choose from:
🍔 Hamburger
🍔 Cheeseburger
🍔 Quarter Pounder
🍔 Halo Burger
🍟 Himalayan pink salt fries

I’m going to be as honest with you as I was with Ross, the incredibly lovely owner ☺️ These burgers are brilliant. I mean, simply brilliant 👌🏼 The team have been working on these for a year and a half and it’s clear to see. The sauce is perfection, the cheese melts like a dream, the proportions are absolutely fine tuned 👏🏼 This is everything that a diner burger should be and they took me right back to my meat eating days 🍔 The Halo Burger, in particular stole my heart 😍♥️😇 I like that they’ve cut the BM patty in half and used it to create two layers because it totally changes the texture! 🙌🏼
However, they do come at a cost. The prices are on par with Five Guys and more spenny than McDonalds, but I suppose that until they’re more in demand, this is the price we have to pay for meat substitutes. Still, this place is absolutely worth a visit and if you do go, say hi as I imagine the likelihood of you bumping into me there is pretty high 😂 Next stop, Shoreditch, @haloburgeruk? 🙏🏻
The lovely team were kind enough to invite me and gave me this food on a complimentary basis. No payment was received and all opinions, as always, are honest and my own.
