Humble – Chelsea

When the food looks like this, it’s easy to stay (at) humble 🙏🏻 {ad}

Meet – King’s Road’s vegan eatery 🌱 You may remember when they specialised in pizza but now they’ve expanded their menu 👀

Here’s what I ate and thought:

🥔 Oyster shroom & potato focaccia w/ cashew nut creme fraiche & parsley

🌱 Hoisin king oyster shroom bao w/ cucumber, spring onions, carrot & sriracha

🥖 King oyster shroom banh mi w/ cucumber, sriracha mayo, carrots, daikon, coriander & sweet chilli

🌯 Ackee burrito w/ brown rice, chipotle black beans, avocado, vine tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeño, coriander & a tomatillo lime dressing

🥐 Pain au chocolat

🥯 Carrot “lox” bagel w/ almond cream cheese, red onion, cucumber, dill, capers & nooch

🥪 Reuben seitan pastrami sandwich w/ sauerkraut, pickled cucumbers, cheese, mayo & mustard

🥗 Caesar salad w/ kale, cashew dressing, coconut bacon, sourdough croutons, lettuce, avocado, sundried tomatoes, capers, nooch

🥤Smoothie w/ banana, oat milk, coffee, cashews, vanilla, dates & salt

💰Prices are reasonable. Smoothies are spenny but for the quality & price of the ingredients (and location), overall prices are fair
🤷🏼‍♀️ Visit again? Yes. Wish we had more grab & go places like this
🏆 Faves? Bao bun, banh mi, burrito & smoothie. Love the use of ackee & oyster shrooms. Focaccia was nice & creamy but wouldn’t have minded more herbs. Bagel needed more flavour, Reuben more filling
