Kaki London – King’s Cross / Caledonian Road

“Water” lovely place to have lunch 💦

Don’t you think something about dining next to the canal in London makes you feel like you’re on holiday? God knows we all need that right now 😎☀️

Upon first glance, @london_kaki’s menu doesn’t look mega vegan friendly but I spoke to the staff and was pleasantly surprised at how many dishes I could tuck into 🤤

Here’s what I ate:

🌱 Mapo tofu (ask for it without the pork and it’s vegan)
💰£9.80
🏆Fave

🌱Hot & spicy dry pot lotus root
💰£10.80
🏆Fave dish

🌱Salt & pepper tofu
💰£7.80

🌱Vegetarian dumplings (they’re vegan too ofc)
💰£8.80

🌱 Spicy & sour shredded potato
💰£8.80

🌱 Pak Choi with garlic
💰£8.80

💭The range of options was actually quite big – there were lots of other dishes I wanted too. Prices are average for London but some could’ve been a tad cheaper (looking at you pak choi) if I’m being picky. The mapo tofu and lotus root stole the show. Love the texture of the lotus root! Even my friend said he’d order that over a meat dish. Wasn’t sold by the shredded potato – just felt it wasn’t the same level as the other dishes- not bursting with flavour. Couple of the dishes were *not* shy of heat 🥵 Fab view and setting and helpful staff
🤷🏼‍♀️ Visit again? Yes. This is a cute little spot to dine in summer. Mapo tofu overlooking the canal – you can’t go wrong really.
