Kanada Ya – Various Locations

Yeah, I’ve got a lotta love for noodles. Guess you could say I’m a hopeless ramen-tic 🍜⁣

Shut. the front. door. @kanada_ya_ldn has a vegan option 🌱 I like to think of it as a little hack because they’re not on the menu and they don’t advertise them, but the option does exist. Our waiter was very helpful and told us that you need to order the vegetarian ramen with the gluten free noodles in order to make it vegan🍜 ⁣

So, here’s what we thought: ⁣

🌱⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣Vegetarian ramen with shiitake & porcini mushrooms, soya milk broth, asparagus, seaweed, spring onions & wood ear fungus⁣
💰£10⁣
✏️⁣ I won’t pretend I’m a ramen expert but I do really enjoy it. I’ve probably had about six different varieties since going vegan and this was one of my favourites so far. It was the richest and creamiest I’ve tasted and reminded me of a mushroom soup I used to love when I was younger. The mushroom broth is thick and packed with beautiful, earthy, umami flavours. I’m a huge fan of spring onions and they are a great addition here. The asparagus is perfectly cooked and retains a nice crunch. I also loved the unusual, chewy texture of the wood ear fungus! I could live on seaweed, I love it so much but I always find the one sheet on the side of a ramen bowl a bit random⁣
