I never thought I’d KF”C” the day where the colonel created a vegan burger😱🍔 {ad}
But here we are, in 2020 – Showing people how much easier it is to go vegan now, making veganism more convenient and affordable, showing some of the biggest meat companies in the world that the huge demand for vegan options is only increasing and also encouraging people to make easy swaps, because the vegan option tastes exactly the same as the meat one 😱
The finger lickin’ @kfc_uki burg is available for delivery, exclusively on @justeatuk so you can get it sent straight to ya door, like we did 🛵 Here’s what I thought:
🌱KFC Vegan Burger
💰£5.79 for burger & drink
💭This is honestly exactly how I remember a KFC burger. As far as a like for like comparison goes, I really think they’ve got it absolutely spot on here. The herbs & spices on the Quorn fillet are just perfect and help set it apart from other more flavourless vegan “chicken” burgers. The texture of the fillet is dreamy too – very realistic! 👏🏼 Juicy in parts but not overly greasy and just the right thickness so it has a bit of bite to it without feeling dense. There were small parts of the burger which were ever so slightly dry but we took the liberty of ordering extra mayo (cos mayo is life) and I highly recommend doing that! The mayo is slightly vinegary but it works, the lettuce adds a nice little crunch and the bun complements all of the ingredients. If I remember rightly, this is almost identical to the original!
❓Order again? Yes, but with one plea – PLEASE fry your chips in a separate fryer so that we can have them too!
