More like ”glazey” boy kitchen, amirite? 😍 {ad}
Just look at the ✨ shine ✨ on @lazyboykitchen’s vegan BBQ feast 🍖 As you’d expect, vegan BBQ food isn’t super easy to find. It’s a difficult one to nail, what with it being such a meat heavy cuisine, but LBK does a pretty damn good job 👏🏼
I first tried LBK at @vegannightsldn a couple of years ago (miss you, VN 🥳) and have been patiently waiting to try it again and now the time has come 😍
Here’s what I ate:
🍖 BBQ Burnt Ends (made from soya) in a sticky, smokey BBQ sauce
💰 £9.95 in a meal deal with the mac & cheese
🏆Fave dish
🍗 Spicy buffalo bites in a hot buffalo mayo sauce (made from soya)
💰£11.95 in a meal deal with the mac & cheese
🏆Fave dish
🧀 Mac & cheese (cashew based) with bacon bits
💰£6 (or you can get it in one of the meal combos)
🏆Fave dish
🥬Citrus slaw – housemate cabbage coleslaw with a tangy citrus dressing served alongside jalapeños
💰£3
🌱Pesto mac bites – rich & creamy pesto mac bomb with a crunchy tortilla chip coating on the outside
💰£5 for three
Aside from the combos, you can also create your own platter with your faves 🥰
💭 This is delicious, hearty BBQ food. The glaze on the burnt ends is sticky & smokey with a little sweetness and a nice bite. I could’ve eaten a whole platter just of the mac & cheese – so thick & creamy. Flavour & texture of the buffalo bites was great too. Pesto balls were nice but a tad salty.
🤷🏼♀️ Order again? Yes. My order next time would be: Burnt ends, mac & cheese, buffalo bites and I want to try the ribs too!
