How many breakfasts dishes is too many? 🤷🏼♀️ …The limit does not exist! 💁🏼♀️ (Invite)
@leles_london is a bloody adorable 100% vegan cafe in Lower Clapton boasting a huuuuuge range of brekkie dishes, to the point where you’ll have a hard time choosing (as my photographic evidence proves) 🥞 We munched on:
🍴 Lele’s full English with portobello mushrooms, homemade baked beans with red peppers, sourdough toast, roast oregano tomatoes, kale, scrambled tofu & two Linda sausages
🥞 Savoury pancakes topped with avocado, roast tomatoes, creamy scrambled tofu, two sausages & onion jam
🍞 French toast with mixed berry fruit compote, coconut yoghurt, peanut butter, cacao nibs & fried banana
🥕 Carrot cake smoothie bowl with carrots, dates, banana, maple syrup, cinnamon, coconut & walnuts 🍚 Arancini ball with roasted veggies .
I think that with a bit of refining, these dishes could be pretty special 😍 The portions are generous and the baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and obvs Linda’s are particularly delightful ♥️ The kale and tofu needs a bit more seasoning and flavour to make it really stand out. The chilli jam was a little too runny and the compote was a bit sour for my tastes but the passionfruit which came with the pancakes was ace 👌🏼 The Arancini was a bit dry but only because they had run out of the accompanying sauce! I don’t have a sweet tooth so the cinnamon in the smoothie was too much for me. .
This place is definitely worth a visit and with a few adjustments, could be one of the top vegan brekkie spots in town 🌱 Thanks for having us, Valentina and team! 😘
PS I know I will get some comments about food waste so just pointing out that there were three of us eating this spread and we took leftovers home as always ♥️
The lovely team were kind enough to invite me and gave me this food on a complimentary basis. No payment was received and all opinions, as always, are honest and my own.
