Oowee Vegan – Dalston

Clare’s original review

Food that will make you go oo”weak” at the knees 😍 {ad – press sample}⁣

⁣

@oowee_vegan was on my “must visit” list for my next trip to Bristol, but luckily for me they’re now open in Dalston 🍔⁣

⁣

What I like about their menu is that everything’s a bit extra 😍 Chicken burger? They’ve got a chicken Kiev burger. Loaded fries? They’ve got loaded “shrimp” fries 🍤 ⁣⁣

Here’s what we tucked into (stay tuned for my first bites video which I’ll post today):⁣

⁣

🍔 ⁣BBQ Smokestack w/ sweet BBQ sauce, American cheese, crispy onion ring, lettuce & gherkins⁣

💰 £9.95⁣

💭 Very sweet, smoky & juicy. The pickles are a great addition (as always). The onion ring got a bit lost but I enjoyed the rest. Great bun!⁣

🤷🏼‍♀️ Order again? Yes⁣⁣⁣

⁣

🍔 ⁣Chicken Kiev burger w/ a crispy seitan patty dipped in garlic butter, cheese, lettuce, “honey” mustard dressing & mayo ⁣

💰£9.50⁣

💭 This gave me strong McChicken vibes, but better. The coating is nice and crisp, mayo has a realistic flavour, love the shredded lettuce and tang of the mustard. Proportions are spot on. The garlic is more subtle than I was expecting but it worked well⁣

🤷🏼‍♀️ Order again? Yes⁣⁣⁣

🏆 Fave dish⁣

⁣

🍟 Sriracha shrimp fries w/ southern fried shrimp, sriracha mayo, sweet pickled red onions & chives⁣

💰£8.95⁣

💭The flavour of the pickled onions and chives stand out. Prawns don’t have loads of flavour but it’s all about the texture – thick coating, juicy inside. Lovely sauce too.⁣

🤷🏼‍♀️ Order again? Yes⁣⁣⁣
