🎶 Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, I’m easy like dim sum-day morning 🥟 🎶
Have you ever woken up and thought “God damn, I could quite happily eat my body weight in dumplings right now” 🤤 Same. More times than I care to admit. Well, our prayers have been answered 🙏🏻 @pingpongdimsumuknow let’s you order all you can eat for £24.95 per person and there are a tonne of vegan options 🥟🥟🥟🥟
🥟 Now, whilst dim sum is one of my favourite cuisines to eat, I didn’t grow up eating it so I don’t consider myself a ‘dumpling expert’ as such but I did enjoy this meal 😍 It’s great to see so many vegan options on the menu and it is exceptional value! I would definitely come back.
@jolley_chris and I were invited down to take full advantage, and we ordered:
🥟 Shanghai vegetable wontons – Beautiful flavour and a ravioli-like texture
🍆 Braised chilli aubergine rice pot – This had a nice kick of heat to it and the aubergine was cooked well and soft but I’d have liked more of it
🥟 Spinach dumplings – Not bad although personally I prefer steamed dumplings. As I always think whenever I eat spinach dumplings, they lacked a little bit of flavour
🌱 Spring rolls – Nice flavour but needed more filling and were perhaps a little over cooked .
🌱 Veggie buns – Could eat these every day. They’re sweet, sticky and super comforting 😍
💛 Golden dumplings – Loved these! They were perhaps a little too sticky which caused them to split easily but I also loved that stickiness .
🥟 Spicy vegetable dumplings – These had a little more heat than the others, really enjoyed them!
🌊 Seaweed salad. I LOVE seaweed and really enjoyed this dish although I don’t think it needed the added greenery
Please note: The potato cakes in the bottom right corner are Chris’ and are veggie not vegan
