Winter warmers for the win 🍂
Tonight I visited Greek restaurant @thehungrydonkey in Shoreditch to test out their new veg options 🇬🇷 For starters, we had warm pita bread with yellow split-pea pureé, finely chopped onion, tomatoes & capers (top left).
We also tried the roasted aubergine with fresh tomato sauce 🍅 (top right) and the gigantes which was white runner beans baked in a tomato sauce (front). The flavours were unreal – the purée was my favourite – I could have eaten it all day 😍❤️
Considering this was my first time eating Greek food, I feel like I managed to try quite a range 😍 The final dish I ate last night was the Gemista – stuffed vegetables with herbs & rice and served with perfectly cooked potato wedges ❤️ That’s all the Greek food envy I have to give you today! 🇬🇷 Thanks again to @thehungrydonkey for helping me realise how many veg options Greek restaurants have 😍
