Your fave Shoreditch burger joint has got a couple of new menu additions so @thebigjolleyvegan & I popped down to try them out! Here’s what we thought:⁣

🌱⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣The Eastside Sub w/ crispy Thai fusion balls, fresh pea & edamame hummus, crispy shallot rings and maple & @tabasco green jalapeño glazed coconut chips⁣

✏️⁣ This is an unusual dish! I’ve never had anything like it before and I love that these guys are pushing the boundaries. The balls reminded me of a cross between meatballs & falafel. They’re crispy on the outside but soft inside. There’s a distinct vinegar flavour which I liked & a very mild heat. Loved the onions & super sweet coconut pieces! The contrast in flavours worked well. It’s a substantial portion but didn’t leave us feeling heavy⁣

✏️⁣The team have ventured into the world of ‘meaty’ substitutes and I’m glad they have – now there’s something for everyone. This was done really well. The patty was cooked perfectly, the cheese is beaut, loved the tangy, sweet burger sauce & super chunky, juicy pickles. It reminded me a bit of the Leon love burger!⁣
