…aaand relax! It’s Saturday! You made it to the weekend and you’ve earned a little down time and a lotta delicious grub ✌🏼
I popped down to @yeotownkitchen in Marylebone to chill out, unwind and (of course) to stuff my face 😏 Yeotown is a cute little cafe where the food is nutritious and the atmosphere calming. When I say ‘calming’, I’m talking ‘meditation pods’ level of relaxation 😍 Trendy.
After indulging in the self love soundtrack, I decided to indulge in even more self-love by doing what I love the most: Eating 😍
The menu is a mix of local and organic food, free from meat, dairy, gluten & refined sugars (but not taste) ❤️ and every dish is named after different characteristics! Here’s what I ate:
‘Tenacity’ aka the ‘Yeorrito’ wrap with scrambled tofu, vegan feta, tomatoes, caramelised onions, courgette, avocado, lettuce & black beans with chipotle salsa 🌯 This was my favourite part of the meal. The tofu was soft & fluffy, the salsa was sweet yet spicy, the black beans give it substance, the vegan feta is nice and sharp, the lettuce gives it crunch and the Mexican spices wake you up 😉
The ‘Grace’ smoothie with strawbs, banana, pineapple, orange blossom, vanilla, coconut water & ice is super sweet & delish 🍓
The ‘Grit’ juice with avo, spinach, pineapple, spirulina & lime is, no doubt, super healthy but needs a little more flavour 🌱
The ‘Joy’ bowl with granola, seasonal fruit, açai base, cacao nibs & coconut was nice but needs a better smoothie to toppings ratio 🥥
The ‘Determination’ matcha wholegrain pancakes come with banana, walnuts, maple syrup, coconut yoghurt & fresh berries and are tasty 🥞 They’re soft and thin so they soak up the maple syrup perfectly. The berries give a nice tangy taste, the banana sweetens and the walnuts add a nice contrasting crunch. They’re a little dry so make sure you spread the maple syrup and coconut yoghurt evenly!
