@mealtime.londonĀ has over 50 locations in China and their individual hotpots have now arrived in London.
They have a fridge filled with various ingredients from tofu to mushrooms. You choose the ones you want, pop them on a tray, and pick a base. The tray then gets taken to the kitchen to get cooked, you pay by weight and your hotpot is delivered to your seat once itās ready!

š²Mini hotpot with your choice of base, ingredients & toppingsāØš°Pay by weight – Ā£3.88 per 100g. Ours came to Ā£21 each which isnāt cheap but we got a bit carried away with the ingredients and couldāve been more restrained with how much we added or easily shared one between two, so I advise that to keep the price down
šThey only offer one vegan base (tomato base) so it would be nice to see a bit more variety in that sense but they do have quite a few vegan ingredients including several different types of tofu, different varieties of mushroom, veggies, noodles and seaweed. The staff were helpful but it wouldāve been great to have clearer labelling to make this an easier user experience – not just for vegans & veggies but for people with allergies too. The tomato base was nice. I personally like mine a bit spicier but I think they leave it fairly mild to accommodate different palettes. You can then load up on chilli oil at the toppings bar, which I did! All of the (unlimited) toppings are vegan except the oyster sauce so thereās plenty of choice there. I really enjoyed this and would go again. Itās a no frills kind of venue, quite small and it was fairly busy the whole time we were there. Itās a fun concept and I enjoyed my meal!
