An absolutely quali-tea way to spend an afternoon ☕️🍰 {ad}
Nestled on the swanky backstreets of Knightsbridge is @egerton_house – a cosy but fancy hotel offering a vegan afternoon tea ☕️
I’d like to point out that they offer a doggy afternoon tea which we snuck a peek at. It was everything I’d imagined. SO many cuties 🐶
Here’s what we ate:
🌱Vegan afternoon tea w/ finest leaf teas
💰£48pp including:
🌱Homemade cakes including an iced choc brownie, vanilla & coconut sponge, lemon drizzle cake, fruit & custard tartlet & vanilla cupcake
💭A great range of cakes! We particularly enjoyed the cupcake & choc cake. The textures were spot on! 😋 Only feedback was that the tart was tasty but a bit tough and the lemon cake had a nice flavour but was a bit too sticky / paste like
🌱 Fresh cut sandwiches incl. grilled veggies, guac & rocket, chickpea coronation, cucumber and olive tapenade & sun-dried tomato
💭I didn’t mind these and liked that they used natural ingredients but thought that the fillings could’ve been more creative. Some were tasty but others a little dry / needed a more substantial filling
🌱Plain & fruit scones w/ coconut cream & jam
💭The plain scones were really great! They were dense without feeling dry, the jams were heavenly without tasting sickly and the coconut cream was absolutely delicious (if a little thin). The fruit scones were a little bit thicker & perhaps a touch drier but still tasty
🏆Fave dish
