Some “spud”tacular news for you all… 🥔 {ad}
Did you know there’s a restaurant in @carnabylondon that is focused entirely around mashed potatoes? 😍🥔
I popped down to @mothermash to check them out and also perve on this year’s #CarnabyChristmas festive decorations 🎄
I love Carnaby at Christmas! Such a vibe. This year, it’s a kaleidoscope of shimmering neon butterflies and is a collaboration with @chooselove to highlight and support the urgent need to raise funds for refugees around the world 🦋
Butterflies were chosen as a symbol of transformation, change and hope. Choose Love also has a pop up at 3 Carnaby Street selling limited edition products with celebs popping up every now and again to serve customers! 🦋
If you skip to photo seven, you’ll see the little butterfly cards you can collect too, which you can push out and pop on your Christmas tree 🎄
As for the food, @mothermash offers a couple of vegan options and I tucked into both:
🥔 Sweet potato mash with carrot and a sprinkling of chilli, a vegetable & herb vegan sausage and vegan gravy
💰£11
💭I really liked the mash and I’m not normally a big sweet potato fan but it was creamy and flavoursome. The sausage wasn’t bad – nice to have a more vegetable focused option. Love the gravy – such a nice flavour.
🥔 Classic mash with vegan milk and butter, a cheesy vegan pie and vegan gravy
💰£12
💭Wish the mash was a bit creamier / more buttery but enjoyed the pie. The pastry was beaut. Again, loved the gravy.
