Naifs – Peckham

PERFECT VEGAN DATE NIGHT SPOT 🕯{press meal}

@naifsrestaurant is a cosy little hidden gem in Peckham! It’s family-run, candle-lit and all about using local, organic ingredients to create incredible dishes showcasing the beauty and versatility of vegetables.

This spot is already super popular with locals and with good reason – it’s excellent.

Here’s what we ate:
🌱 Starters
🫒 Marinated olives 💰£4
🍞 Smoked lentil pate, fig jam, bread & pickles 💰£10

🌱 Set menu – 💰 £27pp
🧆 BBQ red pepper kebab with parsnip skordalia, radicchio & harissa
🥕 Carrot salad with pickled grapes & mustard
🌱 Beetroot & smoked almond
🧆 Lentil fritters, green tahini & pomegranate molasses
🍆 Aubergine agrodolce with shoestring potatoes
🍞 Flor bread

🌱 Desserts
🍑 Peach ice cream, lingonberries & vanilla meringue 💰 £8
🍫 Chocolate mousse with date caramel & burnt chocolate 💰£8

💭 I really enjoyed this meal – a truly great showcase of how bloody brilliant vegetables can be. I liked the mixture of hearty and lighter dishes. The restaurant is cosy, intimate and homely. The team are lovely – friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be back here!

🏆 Faves: The kebab, lentil pate, beetroot & smoked almond, the lentil fritters & the choc mousse. The bread was great too!

🙅🏼‍♀️ Wouldn’t order again: I didn’t love the radicchio with the kebabs (not a fan of the bitterness) but I really liked the rest of the dish. Carrot salad I could take or leave. I’d choose the choc mousse over the peach ice cream
