And just like that… it’s festival season again ✌🏼
This was my first festival of the season and my second time at @xthetracks (Cross The Tracks) – a jazz, funk and soul festival with over 40 street food traders.
I always love the vibe here – it feels very chilled. There are people of all ages and backgrounds, a good range of genres and a tonne of food options. Last year, I was a bit disappointed that the food queues were 45 mins long and while they were still lengthy this year, it was nearer 25 mins which is much better and about what you expect at a busy festival.
Highlights:
🎤 @kelis killed her set – I forgot she had so many bangers. Obviously I went feral when milkshake came on. There are some videos but they will never see the light of day.
🌱 EXCUSE ME. Where has @zestkitchen been hiding? Their “chicken” bao buns blew me away. Wow. I really hope these guys open up a permanent spot at some point.
🍹 The spicy watermelon margarita was a real treat to sip on in the sunshine
🍻 They also have a craft beer section with local traders
🎶 @nightmaresonwax put on a good set to finish the night!
If you’re looking for a decent day festival in London, I really recommend @xthetracks. Hope to see you there next year!
