I have a pret-ty exciting recipe to share with you 🍪
Remember the *insanely* delicious vegan dark chocolate & almond butter cookie from @pret that the vegan world went absolutely wild for? 🍪 Well, they only bloody went and RELEASED THE RECIPE 🤤
I gave it a go and not only is it super simple, it really does taste exactly like the real thanggg. THANK YOU PRET COOKIE GODS 🙏🏻
I strongly implore you to stop what you’re doing, head to the kitchen and bake your ass off 👩🏼🍳 Here’s how it goes:
What you’ll need
🍪 43g caster sugar
🍪 112g soft, light brown sugar
🍪 4g salt
🍪 40g almond pieces (ideally flaked almonds, slightly smashed but whole almonds chopped into small pieces will also work)
🍪 112g dark chocolate pieces (I used @lindtuk dark choc bar and cut it into small pieces)
🍪 205g flour
🍪 20g cocoa powder
🍪 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
🍪 65g coconut oil
🍪 72g almond butter
🍪 100g golden syrup
🍪 40g water
How it’s done
1. Preheat the oven to 180
2. Combine caster sugar, brown sugar, salt, almond pieces, dark chocolate pieces, flour, cocoa powder & bicarb of soda into a bowl and mix (for best results, sieve the flour, cocoa & bicarb)
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the coconut oil, almond butter, golden syrup & water
4. Add both mixes together with a wooden spoon
5. With your hands, bring the dough together
6. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper (I didn’t have any so used tin foil and it worked just fine)
7. Split the dough into 8 balls, then flatten with the palm of your hand
8. Bake for 8-10 mins or until the cookie feels firm on the edge, soft in the middle
9. Leave to cool for 15 mins
10. I added in my own step and melted some @nomochocolate dark choc and drizzled it over and let me tell you, WOW. It’s a great addition! No regrets.
11. Harness your inner Cookie Monster and enjoy! 🍪
Tip: You can freeze them and reheat them in the oven and they’ll be gooey again!

Just made these and they are delicious. I’m from the US, so first I made the golden syrup which I never knew about ( a new favorite of mine). The recipe is easy to bring together. A great cookie!!
