Remember the *insanely* delicious vegan dark chocolate & almond butter cookie from @pret that the vegan world went absolutely wild for? šŖ Well, they only bloody went and RELEASED THE RECIPE 𤤠ā£

I gave it a go and not only is it super simple, it really does taste exactly like the real thanggg. THANK YOU PRET COOKIE GODS šš»ā£

I strongly implore you to stop what youāre doing, head to the kitchen and bake your ass off š©š¼āš³ Hereās how it goes:ā£

What youāll needā£
šŖ 43g caster sugarā£
šŖ 112g soft, light brown sugarā£
šŖ 4g saltā£
šŖ 40g almond pieces (ideally flaked almonds, slightly smashed but whole almonds chopped into small pieces will also work) ā£
šŖ 112g dark chocolate pieces (I used @lindtuk dark choc bar and cut it into small pieces)ā£
šŖ 205g flourā£
šŖ 20g cocoa powderā£
šŖ 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of sodaā£
šŖ 65g coconut oilā£
šŖ 72g almond butterā£
šŖ 100g golden syrupā£
šŖ 40g waterā£

How itās doneā£
1. Preheat the oven to 180ā£
2. Combine caster sugar, brown sugar, salt, almond pieces, dark chocolate pieces, flour, cocoa powder & bicarb of soda into a bowl and mix (for best results, sieve the flour, cocoa & bicarb)ā£
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the coconut oil, almond butter, golden syrup & water ā£
4. Add both mixes together with a wooden spoonā£
5. With your hands, bring the dough togetherā£
6. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper (I didnāt have any so used tin foil and it worked just fine)ā£
7. Split the dough into 8 balls, then flatten with the palm of your handā£
8. Bake for 8-10 mins or until the cookie feels firm on the edge, soft in the middleā£
9. Leave to cool for 15 minsā£
10. I added in my own step and melted some @nomochocolate dark choc and drizzled it over and let me tell you, WOW. Itās a great addition! No regrets.ā£

Tip: You can freeze them and reheat them in the oven and theyāll be gooey again!ā£

Just made these and they are delicious. Iām from the US, so first I made the golden syrup which I never knew about ( a new favorite of mine). The recipe is easy to bring together. A great cookie!!
