It’s no secret that being vegan in rural France is not easy and visiting as a vegan can be challenging, but there’s one venue making it a lot easier.

Say bonjour to La Cour de Husson aka @veganfrenchlife – luxury holiday accommodation in Charente, Southwest France 🇫🇷 Everything is vegan from the food & drink to the bedding & toiletries 🧴

This is the perfect way to escape to the French countryside without having to worry about what to eat.

🏨 ACCOMMODATION
You get your own private gîte with a kitchen, three bedrooms, balcony, two bathrooms, private al fresco dining area and direct access to the pool & garden

🥪 FOOD AT HOME
These guys can do it all – hearty breakfasts with masala beans, scrambled tofu, fresh fruit & cinnamon rolls, delicious dinners such as oyster mushroom tacos and beef bourguignon and perfectly sweet desserts. They know how to cook!

🧺 You also get a welcome hamper with homemade vegan treats that you can take for a picnic

🍴 FOOD OUT & ABOUT
Some vegan-friendly spots nearby include:
🌱 @gardenangouleme – vegan tea room in Angouleme serving lunches & sweet treats. We had a risotto and a cupcake
🌱 @les7epices.fr – a vegan Lebanese spot in Angouleme – we didn’t get to visit but heard it’s nice
🍰 @gateauxtusson – vegan friendly cake shop. I had a delicious chocolate cake
