BEATEN BY A WHISKER – FULLY VEGAN BAKERY 🥐
There are tonnes of vegan-friendly bakeries popping up all over London at the moment and I’m so fine with it 🙌🏼
@beatenbyawhisker is a fully vegan bakery but you’d never know. Their products are top notch 👌🏼 I really, really enjoyed the whole experience from the rustic decor to the friendly staff and of course, all of the food inbetween.
⚠️ Please note, they’re a baker down this weekend so it might be best to head in next week if you want to try the full range!
Here’s what we tried:
🐷 Mushroom + Onion Sausage Roll
🌱 Pesto, Asparagus & Sundried Tomato Tart (I called it a quiche in the video)
🌱 Plum Frangipane Tart
🍫 Espresso Caramel & Walnut Brownie
🍅 Arrabbiata Bun with cherry tomatoes, homemade cashew cheese, harissa sauce & rosemary sprigs
🍞 Beaten By A Whisker also make freshly baked bread and cinnamon buns (which is what I headed there for initially but they’d sold out)
💭 I would genuinely order all of these dishes again. I loved everything here. The crust on the savoury tart was perfect, the brownies are rich and gooey, the bread is soft and fluffy, the sausage roll was bursting with flavour and the plum tart really took me by surprise. It’s not what I’d normally go for but I really enjoyed it

🌍 Sustainability: They use a bokashi system for their food waste, where they chop it all up, add bran, ferment it for 2 weeks then compost on local church grounds. They use Decent packaging and limit product waste using Too Good to Go
