Vegan Chicken Dumplings

The most “woon”derful “chicken” dumplings 🥟⁣⁣⁣
Following the recipe from one of my favourite Instagram accounts ever, @woon.heng, I brought these little delights to life 😍🥟 ⁣⁣⁣

I kind of accidentally made wholemeal dumplings 🥟 I used the wrong flour and only realised half way through 😂 Anyway, despite being a little thick, they were pretty bloody tasty 🤤⁣⁣⁣

This was my first time making dumplings! 🥟 I was always kinda terrified of doing it because I assumed it‘d be kinda tough and complicated. Don’t get me wrong, you’ve defs gotta have a bit of time on ya hands but it’s pretty straight forward. I was so proud of how but they turned out even though they weren’t as intended and I got really into the pleating process 🥟 ⁣⁣⁣

🥟 Dumpling Wrappers:⁣⁣⁣
🌱 240g all purpose flavour (or wholemeal if ya wanna go rogue like me)⁣⁣⁣
🌱 125ml hot water⁣⁣⁣
🥟 Filling:⁣⁣⁣
🌱 8oz “chicken”⁣⁣⁣
🌱 8oz firm tofu⁣⁣⁣
🌱 125g fresh spinach⁣⁣⁣
🌱 75g cabbage⁣⁣⁣
🌱 1 chopped carrot⁣⁣⁣
🌱 Handful of chopped scallions⁣⁣⁣
🌱 Sesame oil⁣⁣⁣
🌱 Salt & pepper⁣⁣⁣
I also made myself a little dipping sauce using Chinese chilli sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar & maple syrup 🥢 ⁣⁣
