Din Tai Fung – Tottenham Court Road

VEGAN DUMPLINGS IN CENTRAL LONDON🌱🥟 {press meal}

Check out the video here

@dintaifunguk is a Taiwanese restaurant well known for its xiao long bao. I decided to pop along and see how the menu holds up for us plantbased peeps ✌🏼

Here’s what I ate:
🥒 Cucumber in spicy sauce 💰 £6
🥬 Spinach with garlic 💰 £9.50
🍄 Wood ear mushrooms with ginger strips & vinegar dressing 💰 £7.80
🥟 Mushroom & truffle xiao long bao 💰 £9.50 for 5 / £18 for 10
🥟 Vegetable jiao zi 💰 £8 for 4 / £14 for 8
🌱 Vegetable buns 💰 £9 for 3 / £3.20 for 1
🥟 Sweet taro xiao long bao 💰 £8 for 4 / £15 for 8
🌱 Red bean buns 💰 £8 for 4 / £15 for 8

💭 The food was tasty and there were a good amount of vegan options but I would’ve liked to see more protein on the menu and a few more creative dishes e.g. Omnipork dumplings or some tofu dishes. The vegetable buns were a bit bland imo. The mushroom & truffle xiao long bao were delicious and my fave item from the menu. I also liked the red bean buns for dessert. I’m not sprinting back for this menu but if you’re in the area, the xiao long bao are worth checking out.
