Welcome to my brand new series where I’ll be showcasing for the best vegan food around the UK, as recommended by you!
In episode one, I visit @herbivorousfood in Manchester. Here’s what I thought of the food:
💭 There are some really great, hearty dishes on offer here. What’s most impressive is that they make almost everything from scratch. For me, the sides stole the show. The glaze on the sticky BBQ ribs was dreamy, the smoky corn ribs with that harissa mayo were divine and those super meaty, saucy buffalo wings were top notch. I liked how creamy the mac & cheese was but it could’ve been a bit tangier and the texture was a bit grainy for me. I didn’t get to try a philly cheesesteak but would love to go back for one as I’ve heard great things! Also, honourable mention to the team for providing vegan desserts. So many places skip them but the Mississippi mud pie is deffo worth an order if you visit! Overall, some really good vegan comfort food. Thanks for the recommendation! Also, little bit of insider knowledge for you… a little birdy tells me they’re going to be opening a new site in Manchester soon 👀
