HUNTING FOR THE UK’S BEST VEGAN FOOD: EP. 2 🇬🇧

Check out the video here

Welcome back to the series where I hunt for the best vegan food around the UK, as recommended by you!

In episode one, I visit @thebarnwilley near Rugby {press meal}.

Here are the Sunday roast carvery options:
🍖 1 course: £14.95
🍖 2 courses: £19.95
🍖 3 courses: £23.95

Here’s what I thought of the food:
💭 First of all, I think it’s so impressive (and so needed) that these guys have created an entire space where everything is vegan – from pub grub most days of the week, to a completely vegan carvery on Sundays with a salad bar and five different types of dessert. They also brew their own vegan beers so they really do it all. I would say, because the food is created buffet style, this is most like a Harvester or Toby Carvery in terms of quality but the selection is huge – they genuinely have every trimming you could ever want from yorkshire puddings to cauliflower cheese. It’s good value for money in the sense that you can pile your plate as high as you like! In terms of the food, I wasn’t sold on the texture or flavours of the vegan meat and a lot of the veg needed more seasoning and would’ve been nicer roasted although I did enjoy the red cabbage. The potatoes weren’t as crispy or fluffy as I like mine but they were seasoned well. I could’ve eaten five of the yorkies. The gravy was flavoursome and thick which we love to see. Whilst this wasn’t the best roast I’ve ever had, it is great to have a place offering all the trimmings.
