Larzijan – Dalston

Is this London’s best hidden gem? 💎

Check out the video here

I know it’s a bit of an overused phrase but @larzijan really is the actual definition of a hidden gem – a proper hole in the wall type venue serving up home-cooked Uyghur food. Everything is also completely vegan! Also, amazing value for money.

Here’s what I tried:
🍜 Stir fried noodles 💰 £9.50
🥟 Dumplings 💰 £6
🌱 Spring rolls 💰 £4.50
🍚 Uyghur Polo 💰 £10
🍜 Sweet potato noodles 💰 £10.50

💭 The food is amazing here but the biggest pull is Zarife who is the most lovely, wholesome human. She’s a one-woman powerhouse who has turned this tiny spot into a homely haven where you instantly feel comfortable. I actually ended up spending about four hours here – eating, chatting and meeting the local community who were constantly popping in and raving about the food. Zarife served up a bit of everything to try. I enjoyed every single dish but I think the noodles and dumplings took top prize. You can choose your spice level and mine were perfectly spicy and flavoursome. Loved it here!

🏆 The dumplings and noodles were my fave
