Marks and Spencer – No Chicken Kiev

Oh kievs, I want to gar-lick you all over 🧄😛⁣

You may have seen people talking about these little breadcrumbed parcels on social media! They’ve been super popular 🥰 I’ve now tried them twice, with varying results..⁣

Also, I do realise that it looks like I only do my food shopping at M&S (which I don’t) but one has just opened up next to my gym so I’ve been stocking up on their plant kitchen range recently 🌱 ⁣

Anyway, here’s what I thought:⁣

💭Ok, so the first time I tasted this it was so salty it was almost inedible. I decided to give it another chance and I’m so glad I did because the second one was absolutely perfect 👌🏼 This is just how I remember a chicken kiev. The soya texture is very meaty although perhaps a little less firm than chicken, but it’s no biggie. The breadcrumbs are just right. The garlic & parsley butter oozes out and has a really strong flavour. There are clearly some inconsistency issues with the product which need to be ironed out but if you manage to get your hands on a good batch, it’s an absolute treat.⁣
🤷🏼‍♀️Buy again? Yes⁣

Have you tried it? What did you think? 💁🏼‍♀️
