“Egg”stra, “egg”stra, read all about it 🥪🍳
I finally tried @marksandspencerfoodpr’s “no egg & watercress” sandwich after trying to get my paws on it for weeks 😍
I think this is a bit of a marmite product, I’ve had people tell me how much they enjoyed it and others tell me that it didn’t do it for them in the slightest 🤷🏼♀️
So, each to their own but “omlettin” you know whether I thought it was “cracking” or if it failed to meet my “eggs”pectations 🍳

💭 So, first of all I thought that the texture was pretty spot on 👏🏼 For the most part, it was moist and there was a good amount of mayo, ”egg” and cress. The ratio of filling to bread was good but it did get a little dry in some parts. I found that sometimes the chunks of tofu were too big and so didn’t replicate the egg texture very well but mainly it was very realistic. Taste-wise, it really didn’t hold much flavour at all and definitely didn’t have that eggy taste 😞 I would’ve liked some black salt in there to really elevate it. It was quite peppery but that’s the only real flavour that came through 😕 I really wanted to like it as I used to love egg sarnies but it wasn’t quite right for me. How does it compare to other sandwiches? I like it more than the M&S “tuna” one but much less than the @pret eggless mayo baguette.
🤷🏼♀️Buy again? No
Have you guys tried it? What did you think? 💁🏼♀️
Loved the M&S No egg & watercress” sandwich. The taste was spot on, it was the best ever vegan sandwich that I’ve ever had. Sadly it’s not on the shelves anymore. I wish they’d Bring it back as I struggle to find a decent vegan sandwich.
I didn’t think it had any flavour sadly! I do wish they’d create more vegan sandwiches though – maybe they’re working on a range!
