Pivot – Covent Garden

Looking for a fancy tasting menu? 👀 “Turn” to @pivotbymarkgreenaway {press meal}

Right in the hustle & bustle of Covent Garden, you’ll find newly opened @pivotbymarkgreenaway. The decor is sleek & trendy but still retains some old school charm ✨

Nothing about this experience felt stuffy. The staff were down to earth and the part-open kitchen added a sense of homeliness 🥰

I tried the:
🌱 VEGAN GRAZING MENU
🌿 Rice Kiev w/ smoked garlic mayo & a tomato tartare roll w/ basil

🍄 Mushrooms on sourdough toast

🍲 Salt baked celeriac w/ dashi broth & sea veg

🧅 Roscoff onion w/ mushroom haggis, turnip & potato mousse

🥔 Lentils & “caviar” – slow cooked potato, hispi cabbage & sauce vierge

🥕 Baked beetroot wellington w/ potato, heritage carrot & red wine jus

🧇 Waffle sandwich w/ bramble sorbet, candied violets & caramelised Rice Krispies

🍫 Chocolate, sesame seed, kumquat & pistachio

💰 £85pp – a fab experience but a bit too pricey. Imo it should be cheaper than the non-vegan menu
🍷 Wine pairing +£65pp (note: all vegan wines are clearly labelled)
💭 This is one of the more creative and satisfying tasting menus I’ve had. I like that it was hearty. I love a tasting menu with pizzazz, ya know? One that puts on a bit of a show. Like the first course being served in a branded tin, or getting to cut your own mushrooms. Food was great – some really lovely flavours and ideas. Fave was the roscoff onion, least fave was the celeriac. Though the broth was lovely, the celeriac flavour doesn’t do it for me. But a solid menu and great experience. Deffo adding to my date night guide!
