I think I’ve been eating at RG for around a year now and evvvvery 👏🏼 daaaamn 👏🏼 tiiiiiime 👏🏼 I leave thinking “I really can’t wait to eat that again one day” 🍛 It’s interesting to know that these guys don’t believe in using MSG, artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives in their food and to be honest, that’s just fine by me 🙌🏼
They’re not 100% vegan and at the moment they only offer one vegan dish but damn is it worth the visit 🌱👌🏼 Chris and I took a little trip down to Broadgate Circle (near Liverpool Street) to have a little nibble on the Funghi Mapo with organic silky tofu, a medley of mushrooms in a spicy bean sauce and purple rice with mange tout. We also took the liberty of adding some sesame seeds, some crispy fried onions, some chillies and of course, spicy sriracha sauce 🔥
The heat is what really takes this dish to the next level. I mean, the flavours alone are unreal but the spice really elevates it 😍 I also really love the contrast of the soft, ‘melt in your mouth’ tofu against the crunchy veg and I can’t get enough of the way the rice and beans soak up the flavours.
