The Coven of Wiches – Walthamstow

FINDING LONDON’S BEST VEGAN SANDWICHES – EP 6 🥪

Watch the video here

Just when you thought the series where I hunt for London’s best vegan sandwich was over – BAM 💥 we’re back!

This time, we’re heading to Coven of Wiches which (ha) is a new vegan sandwich shop in Walthamstow 📍

From sloppy Joes and Philly cheesesteaks to Reuben’s and fish finger sandwiches, this deli is all about messy, heart grub.

Here’s what I tried:
🥪 The Philly with seared “beef” strips, peppers, onions, mushrooms & cheese
💰 £9, WITH GRAVY: £11
🥪 The Reuben with “pastrami” on rye sourdough, remoulade, sauerkraut, gouda & pickles
💰 BIG: £9, SMALL: £5

💭 What I love about these guys is the attention to detail. They really know how to cook seitan and it’s prepared in different ways to ensure it works perfectly for the sandwich it’s designed for. I loved the seitan in both which is saying something as I don’t normally love it. I actually wanted a little more of it in the Philly and a few less mushrooms & peppers. I liked the rich gravy it came with too! The Reuben was just layers of deliciousness. There was a touch to much sauce for me if I’m being super picky but I really enjoyed it.
🏆 The Reuben was my fave
