Honest Burger is *always* the best policy š {ad – press sample}ā£ā£

Itās no secret that I love Honest Burger’sā vegan offering so of course I was over the moon when I received the DIY kit to taste test 𤤠ā£
ā£
The ābacon plantā is still my number one but the āplantā is the OG. Iād love to see a bacon plant kit in the future too – I dream about that smoky bacon ketchup š š„ā£
ā£ā£
Anyway, hereās what you receive in the kit:ā£ā£
š @beyondmeat patties, smoked gouda ‘cheese’, @rubiesintherubblechipotle ‘mayo’, pickled cucumber, burger buns, red onion, @frenchsuk mustard, an Honest tote bag and rosemary chip seasoning. No lettuce or chips includedā£
š« Servings: 2 burgers or 4ā£ā£
š° Ā£17 for 2, Ā£27 for 4 (+ Ā£6 for delivery)ā£
šLetās start with the cost. Itās a little pricey considering you donāt get any chips but thatās due to how spenny BM patties are. Itās still more expensive than the meat option. I must say, this was pretty close to the restaurant experience – the burger tastes very similar – the sign of a strong DIY kit šš¼ I wouldāve liked chips too but understand they donāt cook properly in the oven. It only took me 10 mins to put this all together. So, easy peasy.

š¤ Diversity statement:Ā Honest’s equal opportunities policy states, āAt Honest we promote a working environment in which diversity is recognised, valued and encouraged and we are committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination whilst promoting a culture of inclusion.ā Honest Burgers People Director, Chantal Wilson says: āA policy is mere words on a page and it takes hard work from everyone and the right infrastructure to support such a policy. Our internal comms bot ‘Honest Guardian’ is a way for any employee to seek information, ask guidance and/or escalate any issues that they are facing. This process removed the barriers of accessibility, transparency and the knowledge needed to tackle concerns ā particularly ones involving discrimination. This along with an open-door policy to all leaders (including our founders) via our engagement platform means problems at local levels are aired and managed appropriately. This does not eliminate all issues around diversity but is a great framework to tackle social issues when they do arise in the workplace and to make it clear that at Honest those attitudes and behaviours are not accepted.ā
