Everyone Lebaneeds a bit of falafel in their life 😍 {ad}
@maroush boasts an impressive vegan menu and they’ve got branches all over central London to get you your hummus fix no matter where you are 📍Here’s what we thought:
🌱Falafel – Fried bean & herb croquettes w/ tahine sauce
💰£6.50
✏️Tasty but ours were a little dry. Loved the tahine sauce, that saved the dish. The accompanying salad adds moisture too
❓Order again? Yes
🌱Vine leaves & courgette stuffed w/ rice, parsley, onions, tomato & spices
💰£16
✏️Liked this! Well stuffed, lovely tomato flavours. Prefer courgette, the vine leaves had a sharpness I didn’t love. Half the portion size would’ve been better, got a bit samey
❓Order again? Yes, if cheaper
🌱Pumpkin Kebbeh – layers of puréed pumpkin w/ spices, cracked wheat & sautéed onions
💰£7
✏️Really liked these! Moist, lovely flavours, love the crunch of the nuts, pairs well with tahine
❓Order again? Yes
🌱Moutabal Baba Ganouj – (grilled aubergine purée)
💰£6.75
✏️Nicely made, very creamy but a bit too bitter for me. Chris liked this though!
❓Order again? No
🌱Hummus – (chickpea purée)
💰£6.50
✏️Super creamy, lovely flavours
❓Order again? Yes
🌱Batata Harra – Cubed, spiced potatoes
💰£6
✏️Well cooked, beaut flavours, loved the vegan aioli too!
❓Order again? Yes
🌱Tabbouleh (parsley salad)
💰£6.25
✏️This one’s personal preference, neither Chris or I are parsley fans!
❓Order again? No
