OK, Nem Nem 100% gave me all the Nom Noms 😍 and for that reason, @nemnemrestaurant has just secured itself a little spot in my ‘top restaurants in London’ list 🌱🇻🇳
Firstly, these guys offer four PAGES of vegan food 🌱 Sometimes a big menu can be off-putting but their huge offering absolutely does not compromise on quality 🙅🏼♀️
I could’ve quite happily ordered everything but we limited (I use this term loosely) ourselves to seven dishes. We went for:
🥞 Xeo Tofu Pancake with tofu, beansprouts, mixed herbs & lettuce
🍄 Grilled “scallops” with King mushrooms marinated in seaweed, spring onions, peanuts & shallots
🍲 Vege Bun Sa aka Lemongrass “chicken” made using homemade Seitan, wok fried with lemongrass & chilli with vermicelli noodles
🌈 Rainbow “chicken” also known as Seitan, nutritional yeast, cashew nuts, onions & peppers
🖤 Black bean “beef” made using seitan, nutritional yeast & mixed seasonal vegetables
🍆 Buda steamed, whole aubergine stuffed with fried tofu, seasonal greens & mung beans
🌊 Mango “fish” which is seaweed marinated aubergine, topped with a fresh mango sauce
This menu is so creative. Everything was so fresh, the portions are generous, the flavours are beautiful and authentic and for once, you really don’t feel like you’re missing out by ordering the vegan options 😍🌱 The stand out dishes were the mango “fish” which was mind-bogglingly realistic and moreish, the black bean “beef” which was absolutely delicious and the insanely great aubergine dish 🍆 Worth noting that the staff are lovely and the venue is cute. It was packed the whole time, for a good reason!
With every intention of taking leftovers home, we ended up without any 🙈 I adore this place and will absolutely be coming back! 🚨 This was an invite.
