SpiceBox – DIY Kit

So, @eatspicebox now does Indian DIY kits! This is a big “dahl” 🥘 {ad – press sample}⁣

A perfect little box for a weekend takeaway, the team have put together a box with all the ingredients you need to recreate their curries at home as well as a little card with step by step instructions 🥰⁣

You can either grab the Korma or Tikka Masala kit. I went for the Korma because I’ve had it before in their restaurant and loved it! 😍⁣

We Brits think of korma as mild, sweet and creamy but traditional korma, with Mogul influence, refers to a range of gravies and varying heat levels, and the dish differs across India 🇮🇳⁣

The box comfortably feeds 4-6 people. Here’s what you get:⁣

🍚 300g organic Basmati rice⁣
🍠 1 sweet potato⁣
🍄 200g of mushrooms⁣
🌱 2 x 400g tins of organic cannellini beans⁣
🌱 150g of green beans⁣
🥬 1 bunch of spinach⁣
🌱 1 bunch of coriander⁣
🍋 1 lemon⁣
🌱 4 SpiceBox samosas⁣
🌱 4 SpiceBox pea kachori⁣
🥘 SpiceBox korma sauce⁣
🥘 SpiceBox tarka dhal⁣
🌱 2 SpiceBox naans⁣
🌱 Toasted cashews⁣
🌱 Date & tamarind chutney⁣

💰 £45⁣
💭 The standout for me was the thick, flavoursome dahl 🤤 I was also really impressed by how fluffy the rice came out using a technique I’ve not used before! Only feedback is that there was perhaps too much veg, I prefer my korma a bit saucer. I’d personally lose the green beans but otherwise, delicious!⁣
