The Standard – King’s Cross

An outdoor terrace with vegan hotdogs? We’re onto an absolute “wiener” here 🌭 {ad – press sample}⁣

Tucked away just near King’s Cross station is the trendy @thestandardlondon with a few vegan options to tuck into 🌱⁣ Check my ‘reels’ for close up videos 🎥

Here’s what we ate:⁣

🌭Vegan hot dog⁣
💰£10⁣
💭 The sausage was a little tough / rubbery but I actually still enjoyed it. Nice flavour, frankfurter style, felt quite substantial. The toppings are so unique – a creamy (but not sickly) sauce with dill being the stand out. Also love the onions, crispy onions, chillies and gherkins. Nice to feel like this wasn’t a lazy vegan option, some real effort had gone into it⁣
🤷🏼‍♀️Order again? Yes⁣⁣

🍟Fries⁣
💰£5⁣
💭Quite salty but nice. They tasted just like walker’s ready salted crisps 😂⁣
🤷🏼‍♀️Order again? Yes⁣⁣

🌱Southern fried cauliflower⁣
💰£6⁣
💭 So tasty! Light, non-greasy and had lovely flavour (paprika standing out for me). The coating was like a light dusting and the garnish was lovely too. They dunk the cauli in coconut milk first which works so well. It was well cooked and the red pepper dip paired nicely⁣
🤷🏼‍♀️Order again? Yes⁣

🥤Bounty milkshake⁣
💰£6⁣
💭 Nice flavour but too subtle. Refreshing with little coconut chunks⁣
🤷🏼‍♀️Order again? Yes with changes⁣
